We Aim to Enrich the Quality of Life in Our Community
The Family Life Center
The MSBC 5 Star Program is transforming 1600 Whitehead Road from a 33,000 sq. ft. vacant body shop into a vibrant community center. This center will be an active hub for senior and youth activities, workforce development, and much more. Check back later this year to see all the ways we'll be serving the Baltimore community!
Our Community Initiatives
Resources and outreach services for a better quality of life, including COVID testing and vaccines, food giveaways, year-round food pantry, youth development, senior programs, legal aid programs, and more.
Weekly education and personal fulfillment activities for seniors.
Indoor/outdoor community recreational activities such as an outdoor basketball court, dance, chess, music lessons, photography and videography workshops, and golf lessons.
Youth Development programs that address STEM, vocational career options, and general life skills development, with the goal of reducing crime and offering positive environments to engage youth.
Expanded community environment focus, with open spaces for sitting and connecting.
Life skills programs such as financial literacy seminars, GED tutoring, youth mentoring, job training, record expungement, and community re-entry.
Multicultural support for the Hispanic and Asian populations, including English as a second language programs.
